How do the members of BTS see Namjoon?

December 27, 2018

I don’t know if you’ve done this or not but may I ask how the members view Namjoon? I feel like they all have their own special connection with him. Like you know those moms with multiple children that trick their kids into believing they’re the favorite. Idk why i see that with namjoon lol

Namjoon - The Hanged Man + The Hermit

He projects energy into the group both unconsciously and consciously that literally provides this gateway to the subconscious and unconscious mind. He brings about new vision and clarity of the self through deeper levels of contemplation and this kind of thing where he encourages them (and everyone really) to be alone with themselves, to understand their own view of themselves and the world around them.

He projects this simply by embodying it himself. His contribution to the group is himself, his energy, his life, his soul. All of it is entirely dedicated to the group and his work.

Yoongi - 6 of Wands

Yoongi is seeing Namjoon as the man in the 6 of Wands, as this victorious individual with no flaws and no capability of making any mistakes. He’s viewing Namjoon as being on a higher level, even to him, when it comes to their work and what they are able to do specifically because he is seeing that gateway. He’s seeing into the soul where everything, even those flaws, and mistakes, are all part of the plan, they’re stepping stones towards all of the achievements they’ve all made together.

Hoseok - 6 of Swords

As a much more consciously aware individual, Hoseok is seeing the inverse of what Yoongi sees of Namjoon. Where Yoongi sees deep into the soul, enough so that he is able to see the flaws and mistakes as integral to their achievements, Hoseok is seeing them superficially. He sees the mistakes and the flaws, but more specifically, he is very focused on how Namjoon has overcome them on a conscious level, how he’s continuously moved forward and bettered himself even when that process was extremely difficult for him to do.

So, really Hoseok and Yoongi are looking at the exact same thing, they just have different perspectives and understandings of the situation, but both of them are very accurate points of view.

Jimin - Knight of Cups, Strength, Ace of Wands

Jimin always has such a lovely view of everyone, lol. The Knight of Cups is there literally as this very loved up kind of view. It’s not a “romantic” view, it’s a romanticized view of Namjoon where, similar to how he’s presented in Yoongi’s 6 of Wands, he’s pretty much flawless in Jimin’s eyes. That card is behind the others because it is much deeper down, it’s like a base to how Jimin feels about Namjoon. He’s seeing Namjoon’s compassion and sensitivity, and how hard he’s trying to be strong or wear that armor, while also being vulnerable enough to extend his cup outward for other people to drink from.

Over the top of that, there is Strength and the Ace of Wands, which are much more geared towards the surface layer of what Jimin sees in Namjoon. It’s like he’s seeing him as the backbone of BTS, which he is. so, in a way, it’s like the Knight is Jimin’s understanding of Namjoon as a person, and Strength and the Ace are his understanding of him as RM, the leader of BTS.

Jin - The Chariot + 2 of Cups

This is nice to see because, in the “How do the members see Jin?” reading it was shown that Namjoon sees Jin as a counterpart within the group, someone who picks up things where he can’t, they balance each other out. That’s reflected here in the 2 of Cups and how there is an equal exchange of responsibility within the group but with different areas. Namjoon is more of that driving force behind the group collectively, and Jin is more so handling things on a personal level between the members. So, Jin recognizes that exchange or that partnership.

In addition to that, there is The Chariot, which is literally that driving force. So, not only does he recognize their partnership, he recognizes their positions. This connection that they have and how they balance each other is usually where people get that vibe of them being the parents of the group. It’s why people tend to see Jin as more motherly than fatherly within the group when it comes to their interactions. Jin is handling things on a personal level, more emotionally oriented, more receptive, more like the caregiver while Namjoon is the leader, the protector, the figurehead, the projected energy, which people will more commonly associate with a fatherly archetype.

Taehyung - 9 of Pentacles

Taehyung is seeing Namjoon as having a lot of what he wants, and I’ve talked about that a lot in readings where he’s involved. He’s actually looking at that gateway or Namjoon’s intuition, his creativity, the inspiration that he seems to have on tap. He’s looking at it, but he’s seeing it more like something that can be picked up or learned in some way, which tends to be where a lot of that inner confusion and frustration comes from.

Overall of that, he’s definitely sitting in admiration and awe of Namjoon over what he’s been able to do and what he’s doing right now. He very clearly looks up to him and he’s one of the many people he’s trying to learn from.

Kook - Knight of Wands + The Queen of Swords

In a somewhat similar fashion to Jimin, Kook is seeing two sides of Namjoon but they’re very closely linked like he’s seeing them as these conscious level modes that Namjoon switches between. One is that very harsh and progress-oriented, win at all costs, kind of vibes which falls into Jimin’s Ace and Strength (and Jin’s Chariot), and the other is this very levelheaded person of guidance. Like, I’m literally seeing it as a Guide, like Kook sees Namjoon as his Guide, as a role model, as the person to go to for the deeper things.

In contrast to Jimin, that softer part of Namjoon is not seen as a vulnerability, it’s being seen as wisdom and understanding.
