Details: The Relationships & Connections reading is designed to showcase the romantic, platonic, or familial relationship between two people and put their connection into perspective by presenting what is gained and from the relationship as well as the highest potential of it.
Pre-Reading:
Namjoon and Kook share a very interesting connection as the deeper facets of it seem to rely much more on mirrored imprinting and soul alignment, rather than the more basic energetic connection. Considering their placements and functions within the Soul Body, the way they seem to mirror and balance each other is even more interesting. The main root of their connection is held in the soul rather than their cores, therefore, especially on Kook’s end, this relationship is displayed much more superficially.
Just to elaborate on their placements in the Soul Body, Namjoon and Kook essentially work as the bookends to the other five energy centers, with Namjoon being in the place of the Crown, and Kook being in the place of the Root. Both of them, of course, hold Virgo energy in their cores, so they contribute stability to the overall function of the body. More specifically, they both govern how higher frequencies and energetic influences are channeled in and out of the body. Namjoon is a higher aspect that brings higher frequencies into the Soul Body, those higher frequencies are filtered, coded, and stabilized through the middle five energy centers, and then Kook is the final point in the system where those frequencies are then projected out into the third-dimensional space. Although they hold these very prominent similarities, they do oppose each other in terms of overall input and output as individuals. Essentially, they are always on opposite ends of the same spectrum.
Namjoon’s core is currently centered around an extroverted energetic system, meaning most of his energy and conscious awareness is almost constantly being projected, while Kook functions more through an introverted energetic system, meaning his energy and awareness are turned inward toward himself.
I’ve talked about this before, but one of the biggest imprints that these two share in relation to their Virgo Suns is judgment. This is most noticeable in how Namjoon’s judgment is projected toward the world overall, where he has decided that the world collectively is unsatisfactory, which prompts him to want to teach people, change the way people think and express themselves, change how the world works overall. He wants to make things better for everyone, and he tends to do that by projecting, from a higher level of consciousness, guidance and lessons towards shifting overall perception and self-awareness.
On the other hand, Kook turns his judgment inward toward himself. I mentioned in his Elemental Alignment reading that this is exactly where he gets all that “Golden Maknae” stuff from. The fact that he is good at everything and seems to pick up new skills so easily is not because of “natural born talent,” it’s because he pushes himself constantly to do better and be better. He has passed judgment on himself and, in a sense, has decided that he himself is less than satisfactory, that he can always do better and be better.
This image here is what I was being shown as an explanation of how Namjoon and Kook work within the Soul Body, as well as how they, on a soul level, will be when either initiates or finalizes the last internal shifts that will trigger the progression of the individual energy centers, and allow for total separation and deconstruction of the Soul Body.
Essentially, what this image shows is that, at some point, Namjoon and Kook will trade places. They won’t trade locations or overall functionality, but they will trade their modalities. Namjoon will become more introverted, more self-focused, while Kook will become more extroverted, more expressive, and engaged with the world around him in a more superficial way.
In terms of the general functioning of the Soul Body, it is shown that Namjoon, on a higher level, receives amplified frequency downloads from a source much higher, something I saw as resonating on a 9th-dimensional frequency. This is channeled through him, through his soul within the Soul Body, decoded, filtered, and eventually, the final product is projected through Kook into a 3rd-dimensional frequency. While this is happening, Namjoon himself, as an individual, on a conscious level, still projects these higher frequencies in spite of not being fully aware of what he is doing.
Everything he speaks, teaches, all of those seemingly random braindumps he does on his blog, anything that takes more than a couple of reads or listens to fully understand — that is a direct projection, a direct channel. Superficially, it can come off as simple or general, but there are underlying imprinted frequencies that people who read and understand his words receive on a higher level.
This occurs because, as an individual, Namjoon’s soul purpose is to always be in a position where he can teach lessons as he learns them, essentially being a direct conduit for and initiator of personal healing and development while he himself heals and develops. The fact that he projects much higher frequencies on this level is the reason that he tends to be less popular compared to other members of the group. This is why his solo music and videos oftentimes receive fewer views, and why he, in general, is oftentimes mocked, especially in the past, for how he speaks and what he speaks about. People who are vibrating at a lower frequency can become repulsed by the projection of higher frequencies, can become defensive toward them, and have a subconscious need to put them down, belittle them, as there is that underlying sense of being pushed past personal capacity.
To elaborate, when people encounter frequencies that are very different from their own, whether it be a much higher or much lower frequency, they can be hesitant to approach it, feel angered by it, feel threatened on an unconscious level. That then can manifest as general disinterest or lead people to overcompensate for their own subconscious insecurities around not being able to understand and fit into that frequency by very blatantly mocking or belittling that content, or just hating the person who is emitting that frequency, displaying their repulsion to it.
Kook is very different as his individual soul purpose, or soul desire, is mostly around becoming an individual. He was not born fully in alignment like Namjoon was, therefore his development overall will always trail a bit behind Namjoon. In fact, he was activated on a soul level once he met Namjoon, which is why experienced such a strong attraction to him right away, which very much so influenced his decision to join BigHit and eventually join BTS.
Compared to Namjoon, Kook was very disconnected from his internal space. He’s spoken before about having difficulty expressing his emotions while also having a difficult time understanding the emotions of other people. That would be why. It’s similar to Taehyung in a lot of ways, but Kook is specifically designed to want to directly, and very consciously, connect with specific people and learn from them. Taehyung is more likely to observe from afar, and then try to apply his own understanding to things while Kook, with all that internal judgment, will rely solely on his teachers to finetune and guide his understanding and technique.
To Kook, Namjoon seems like an expert, someone in a higher position with more knowledge. Specifically, he sees Namjoon as an expert in outward projection and expression, in authenticity displays towards other people. Namjoon was still actively coming into his own, learning to express authentically and, as I said, he teaches while he is learning, his strongest projections occur while he is in the midst of gaining information and understanding. Thus, Kook was very drawn to him when they met because, basically, Namjoon was projecting or mirroring Kook’s own Higher Self. From there, on a conscious level, Kook decided to follow Namjoon, to learn from him, especially when it comes to authentic expressions and displays of the self.
Right now, Namjoon is very much acting as an individual on a soul level, while Kook is still working toward that. It really is like Kook is following in Namjoon’s footsteps on multiple levels. In my head, I’m seeing it as a dragon, with Namjoon being the head and Kook being the tail. There is this very fluid motion in the way that the tail follows the direction of the head, never deviating from the course defined by the head.
With the current state of soul progression for all seven of them, there is a lot of integration occurring, a lot of expansion of personal awareness. They’re all at different levels right now, and they’re working at different speeds, but they will all eventually line up with their energy centers. I assume that point of synchronization will be the point in which the Soul Body collapses and the seven of them will be operating primarily from more individualistic states of being.
I think, most likely, this will be a time when Namjoon and Kook “trade places.” It was shown to me before as Namjoon passing a torch to Kook, and that was the starting point of the “new era” that I talked about in the updated 2019 Outlook.
This here is what they are going to be “trading” in a sense. Namjoon is currently receptive on the level of the soul body, projecting through the core, consciously present and grounded in reality, emotionally aware, but unable to fully feel his emotions. Then Kook is in the area of projection in the soul body, his energy is turned inward towards his core, he is oftentimes disconnected from the physical reality (that’s why we have so many memes of him just spacing out in the middle of interviews), and emotionally unaware, however, he is actually very emotionally stimulated and open.
These qualities are what they are actually trading. Out of everything, the one thing that may be the most noticeable when the shift occurs and starts to manifest fully on a conscious level is the state of connection to the physical reality. Kook may talk more, be more present, while Namjoon may be more likely to stay quiet, and zone out. This is something that is further down the line though as Namjoon and Kook’s states, along with the other members, are still in a slow-build process with the integration.
So, to explain further, Namjoon’s current state is based on the process of reconnecting to the soul. That is why he returning to the state of introspection and emotional processing. He’s already done this before, or he’s already been in this state, which is why Kook is in it right now. He is following Namjoon and taking his place when he “graduated” into that current space of projection. There was a time when Namjoon was also “hollow,” but it was more for a lesson to trigger conscious level connection, something to make him seek out that connection in order to, you know, not feel so dead inside. It was short-lived compared to Kook, more extreme, but it was still part of the process. He then moved to where Kook is now, that very introverted, introspective state, and then popped on into full alignment, serving his individual purpose by projecting and speaking, trusting himself to have the right things to say.
Because of the severe disconnect that he experienced, the one that caused the Soul Body to fall out of balance and become susceptible to the attacks, Namjoon has to start from scratch. He has to return to that lower state in order to fully regain that connection. So, as Namjoon moves down to where Kook is, Kook will follow the path and end up where Namjoon is now.
Namjoon will be in the state of introversion, all energy and awareness turned towards himself, his judgment turned towards himself, in order to process that disconnect and the mistakes that went along with it. It’s part of emotional purging as well as connecting the conscious mind to the soul. Kook will be more extroverted, projecting more. It comes with more confidence, independence, and willpower. His judgment is on other people rather than himself, meaning he would be much better at filtering out criticism, better at making his own decisions, and trusting himself to do the right thing without having to shred his body apart in order to perfect it.
That is how he will get into that space of an individual, as well as entering a more mature, more adult-like state of mind and way of being, which is something he’s wanted to do for a long time, and has been working on. I talked about that as well in his Elemental Alignment.
When Kook and Namjoon, the bookends of the Soul Body, shift their polarity, it will disrupt the balance of the body enough to trigger the shifts forward with the other souls. It will ripple down and cause that break in reliance on each other for energetic (and sometimes mental and emotional) stability.
Namjoon will have a much higher influence over the others as he will still be triggering conscious level development to occur (Yoongi is anchoring energy to the body while this is happening), but Kook, as the Root or the tail of the body, is literally pulling that energetic shift through everyone else in order to follow. So, once these two make that leap, everyone will, but it would still be on different levels for different members depending on their state at the time.
More than anything, Namjoon and Kook making that transition will cement the overall process of individual development into the Soul Body and guarantees the separation and progression for all seven souls.
Here, we have something pretty interesting. I pulled these cards with an inquiry toward the layers of consciousness and where exactly Namjoon and Kook link up — consciously, subconscious, or unconsciously. To put it simply, Namjoon and Kook essentially mirror each other in such a way where, from a certain point of view, you could say that Kook is Namjoon’s conscious mind, while Namjoon is Kook’s unconscious mind. This could be seen in reverse as well, depending on their state of progression or modality.
To elaborate, The Star is a card that, especially in this context, I would line up as a representative of the unconscious mind, right alongside The Sun and The Moon, representatives of the conscious and subconscious minds respectively. The Star is higher consciousness, higher power, something that can be quite difficult to grasp with the conscious mind, but it still has quite a clear and direct influence over perception and overall development. On the other end, there is the 7 of Pentacles, representing a very straight-forward and earth-bound conscious mind, featuring a man waiting patiently for his garden to grow, very focused on the external space, perhaps a bit detached from himself.
In the center, representing the subconscious mind, Temperance stands, linking two cups together through a stream of consciousness, blending two sides together. I was very focused on those cups and the fact that you can’t actually tell whether the water is flowing upward or downward, giving this sense of there being an infinite trade occurring. In other words, Temperance seems to depict the process of the two sides, one external and one internal, one higher and one lower, being traded between Kook and Namjoon for the sake of balance and development.
After shuffling again, hoping for a bit more of an explanation, I got these three cards here — The Hermit, The High Priestess, and The Empress. This is pretty interesting as well because it shows a very similar mirroring process, except here, this is more focused on a soul state rather than the states of the layers of consciousness.
Basically, both The Hermit and The Empress represent Kook and Namjoon, the represent their cores, especially relating to their Virgo energy. However, The Hermit is more introverted, more detached from the outer world, while The Empress is extroverted, very much in tune with the physical world around her. Both sides hold higher awareness, self-awareness, and an understanding of a certain level of processing that has to be done on an internal and external basis.
In the center, The High Priestess, which is quite literally a symbol of the center of every spectrum, the point where opposite ends meet in harmony, where one dimension blends into another. She mirrors Temperance in terms of the representation of how the two opposite ends meet, how they lend to balancing each other, and how Namjoon and Kook can trade-off between them, embodying one or the other.
It's interesting because it's giving me that yin-yang vibe again, the true harmony of how they really complete each other in terms of their processes of development. Superficially, The Hermit is introverted, he has detached from everything, but he has done so in order to observe himself in relation to the world around him. He is primarily introverted, secondarily extroverted when it comes to his conscious awareness. The Empress is a literal symbol of mother nature, the connection to the physical space, but she is highly spiritual and uses her higher awareness to enforce her will on the world around her, to plant her own seeds, to nurture and grow only what she focuses on. She is primarily extroverted, secondarily introverted.

Energetic Contributions:
Namjoon: Six of Swords | Two of Pentacles (rev.)
Kook: The World | The Hanged Man (rev.)
Here, again, there is a show of how Namjoon and Kook mirror each other, how they present opposite ends of the same spectrum to each other. Specifically, when it comes to what they contribute to each other within their relationships, The World and the Six of Swords show avenues of escape. Kook offers Namjoon an escape from the subconscious mind with The World and Namjoon offers Kook an escape from the more superficial, externally oriented space with the Six of Swords.
The Six of Swords, what Namjoon offers to Kook, is a card about escape and transition. Within this context here, it feels like an offering of refuge, as if Namjoon is the person rowing the boat and Kook is the passenger being brought to a safer place. Paired with the reversed Two of Pentacles, which came out for how Namjoon sees Kook, it’s like Namjoon could notice him stressing out, overworking himself, quite literally becoming a little too fixated on external matters, and therefore, he offers him a break from that. With the influence of the Swords being there, and with such a focus on the mental space, it’s like Namjoon offers a conversation, thoughts and words, a verbal outlet that would allow the man in the reversed Two of Pentacles to stop juggling, sit down, and just breathe for a bit.
On the other end, you have Kook doing the exact same thing, however, instead of pulling Namjoon into himself, into a mental space, he’s pulling Namjoon out of his own mind and into the world. As Kook sees Namjoon as the reversed Hanged Man, it’s like he is observing Namjoon in times where he is very much so stuck in his head, suspended and lingering on certain issues that he may just be overthinking. There’s a feeling of being trapped in a bit of an anxious or tensed up energy due to the mind being too stimulated.
Rather than a conversation, Kook offers a walk outside, rain to listen to, even a rock to hold — not literally, of course, but you get the idea. He pulls Namjoon into a space where the mind can relax and simply observe.
Both of them, on occasion, see each other getting overwhelmed and stressed out within their own domains, and then seek to help alleviate that stress by offering the other a seat on their side of the spectrum.
How They See The Relationship:
Namjoon: The High Priestess
Kook: The Hermit | Strength
I really love this. With how they both view this connection overall, it comes off as a very straightforward relationship between a student and a mentor. What’s most interesting here is that Namjoon is seeing himself as The High Priestess. He recognizes his position, his authority, his wisdom, and I feel like he does recognize some of himself in Kook, and therefore, he recognizes a sense of purpose in guiding Kook.
It's really nice though because it doesn't feel forced, it doesn't feel like there's any kind of strictly enforced power dynamic here at all. The High Priestess feels very chill and welcoming, almost like Namjoon usually waits for Kook to come to him rather than seeking Kook out in order to preach to him and unload a million life lessons. There's a bit of a higher energy here to Namjoon.
However, Kook sees Namjoon as The Hermit, and in a funny way, it's almost like he can feel that High Priestess energy, but he doesn't know quite how to interpret it, so instead, he literally sees Namjoon as this wise and somewhat mysterious old man. I'm sure that perception is more so there when Namjoon is actually offering up some advice and guidance. In an odd way, I could also say that Kook sees himself as The Hermit, but the other side of The Hermit. One side is already wise and knowledgable, ready to teach, while the other is open to learning, open to observing, and coming to understand the ways of the world.
In fact, in this deck, The Hermit card is much more focused on the process of becoming The Hermit rather than simply being The Hermit already. On both ends, where they meet, and what they understand to be gained from this relationship, is that drive toward inner awareness, gaining it and then using it to help others do the same. Of course, there can be some hesitancy to this as, eventually, the student will become the master, and on both ends, this seems a little scary. I've mentioned before in other readings that Kook can sometimes have conflicting feelings around growing up and becoming independent, and Namjoon can have a bit of nervousness around the idea of not having anyone to lead, not having that position to fill.
Both sides can be summed up as reluctance toward the final result of The Hermit, which can essentially be summed up as finding independence and self-understanding through solitude.
Current State of The Relationship:

Another interesting set here. These two cards oppose each other and present an interesting dynamic to the current state of the relationship. First off, the Two of Cups is all about deep connections and personal understanding, and with the image of this card, it seems to represent that more mirrored state between Namjoon and Kook. The Four of Cups, however, is about solitude and being disconnected, not being able to understand, or being in denial about something. It's like there are these ups and downs, ins and outs when it comes to how they connect with each other.
In my mind, I'm thinking of it as an Eclipse, where every so often these two moving parts line up and there's this stillness, this sense of calm, but then they move away from each other and go back about their business. It's not an all-day everyday kind of thing. Considering how deeply this connection runs into the soul, I suppose that's for the best and would make a lot of sense considering how different layers of consciousness need to balance and oppose each other in order to avoid energetic merging.
Also, it would make sense that there would be these back-and-forth states of understanding and misunderstanding as, essentially, Namjoon and Kook are on the exact same path, but are being positioned now to start walking in opposite directions, toward each other, opposing each other. They understand each other and the path they are on, but the direction and development, the order in which things are going now aren't so easily perceived. Essentially, before, Kook was just following Namjoon step-by-step, and now, Namjoon is doubling back while Kook is meant to continue forward on his own.
Highest Potential:
King of Pentacles | Judgement
As I've mentioned a million times now, one of the main qualities that Namjoon and Kook share between them is their judgment, with Namjoon's judgment being projected outward toward other people, and Kook's judgment being projected inward toward himself. With the Judgement card here, alongside the King of Pentacles, I was really seeing the highest potential of this relationship as being a state in which both sides have essentially become King, have become independent authorities in their life, and have a balanced sense of judgment, both internally and externally.
Even more on point, the Judgement card in this deck is very focused on the aspect of attaining enlightenment through a process of self-judgment and self-analysis. I want to include the first paragraph of this card's description, as written by the artist.
“The Judgement card features an angel holding a trumpet, and in my version, trumpet lilies. The angel calls for an awakening. You must take stock of your life. It may be time to find new ways of living. You may feel called to change your life or open yourself up to new possibility. This character manifested wearing a mask to me; the image speaks to transformation and absolution, a discarding of your “masks” and old ways of being, and a renewed exploration of your true self. The Judgement card speaks of an epiphany, a realization that you have not been living up to your potential or that you can do more for others. This card calls for a period of reflection and self-evaluation.”
I find this really interesting as it's making me rethink how these two would trigger the completion of the overall integration process for themselves and the others as part of the Soul Body. As I mentioned before, I was more so thinking that, based on their mirrored imprinting, their own energetic shifts on a soul level would be what would mostly trigger the others, but here, it's showing that this could primarily occur through the layers of consciousness. In other words, this could be a very conscious process for them.
Once both of them have consciously made the decision to align with their next phases of progression, with Namjoon willingly stepping backward and Kook willingly stepping forward, there will be a noticeable display of this transformation that will alter the functionality of the group.
Now, of course, Kook isn't going to become the leader of BTS or anything, it's more personal than that, it's more in the realm of self-perception and how they choose to display themselves. Both of them are hesitant to make those changes for their own reasons, there's a lot they are holding back, so when those changes occur, when Namjoon becomes more introverted, quieter, and Kook becomes more extroverted, more expressive, it will be noticeable, it will have a ripple effect.
What I find to be most exciting here is the King of Pentacles. The King, the authority behind that judgment on both ends, really points to those perceptions, that self-understanding, being projected out into self-actualization, a solidifying of position, of identity, and dynamic. It's like they will shift on a soul level, which triggers a shift in self-perception, which then alters expression and display of the self, which overall leads to a very defined and well-understood prioritization of the personal will and desire. The King of Pentacles, specifically, even mentions experiencing success and fulfillment as a result of aligning with your true self, what you want and what you feel you deserve as an individual.
