Energy Reading

Miss Jisoo has a very interesting set here with the center focus being Aletheia, regarding truth, clarity, and action toward disclosing something that has been hidden away or distorted for some time. On top of Aletheia, she has The Lovers, representing personal alignment with the soul and higher self, which here can definitely suggest that what she is uncovering, whether it be to herself or the world around her, is her true self, true identity, or true creative persona. Especially with The Magician right below all of this, this connection to personal truth is going to allow her to step into her own power, especially creative power, and create a whole new foundation or image for herself.

On either side of this set she has The World and The Hanged Man, both of which are in reverse. This shows that in order for her to have had this breakthrough, or at least this intuitive urge to move toward personal truth, she had to break away from the world, or external influence, as well as the distorted perception that the world gave her. The distortion of the world, represented by the reversed Hanged Man can go both ways. Either the world distorted her perception of herself, or the world’s perception of her was distorted. Either way, it seems that there was major misrepresentation when it comes to who she is or who she knows herself to be, and she’s now on the verge of reclaiming her personal identity and clearing up the lens or window through which she sees the world and the world sees her.

To better understand this set, you can base the state of her self-perception or expression on the state of the cards, on whether they are upright or reversed. If The World and The Hanged Man were upright, The Lovers and The Magician would be reversed. The World (outside influence and expectation) would guarantee an upright Hanged Man, which actually means the man in the image would be upside down, seeing the world through a distorted lens. When Jisoo breaks away from The World, turns it off and makes it reversed, moving away from that outside influence and moving inward toward herself, The Hanged Man becomes reversed. When The Hanged Man’s card is reversed, he himself is right side up, seeing the world for what it is and seeing himself just the same.

This allows for better self-awareness, better personal alignment, better alignment with the outside world where balance and consideration for the self is more of a factor in operation. Then, of course, with that better alignment and self-awareness, more self-honoring, you get The Magician’s power of creation and manifestation, Jisoo’s power to create, express, and command her space from the inside-out.

Main Reading

To start off, Jisoo has the reversed Fish representing the current state of her core energy which makes it seem like she’s still in some kind of transition between breaking away from The World and coming into the state of The Lovers. The break away from The World suggests some kind of destabilization, which could have started off outside of her or within her, which prompted her to actually start questioning her perception or her understanding of what she was dealing with or what kind of “performance” she had been putting on.

This destabilization, both internally and externally, is demonstrated here with a very strong foundational Water energy in an imbalance state. Although, more than it being imbalanced, it feels more like things are still just taking their time settling back into place. It’s as if there had been an earthquake, one that reversed The World (external influence) and then reversed The Hanged Man (internal perception), which shook up the waters (emotional, creative, intuitive space) that the fish was swimming in. This knocked up dirt and plants that made the water go all cloudy, and until the dirt and plants settle to the bottom again, the fish is swimming aimlessly in the dark trying to figure out the new landscape.

Her higher self is pushing the influence of The Dragon down into her core, which is very interesting. The Dragon is associated with the Solar Plexus and deals with the process of coming to know and express your true self with confidence and little hesitation. With this being a Spirit Card specifically, it feels more like a representation of an entirely new phase or state of being in her life, some kind of upgrade for her that will allow her to expand past previous limitations that were applied to her by other people or limitations that she applied to herself.

Between the current state of the reversed Fish and The Dragon, it feels like if the Fish remained calm and just tried to use its intuition or its senses to navigate the dark and murky water (symbolic of navigating the inner world or the subconscious mind — fear and insecurity), it would eventually be led straight to the hub of The Dragon, to that inner flame, light, and power. However, right now, it does feel like she’s swimming in circles waiting for more pieces to fall into place before she can really move forward with something, both internally and externally.

Her Water Alignment, represented by the Gazelle, plays into this scattered water energy of the Fish as this card blends Water and Fire together in a way that presents overstimulation or an unregulated charge to the space of Water, the inner world. The Gazelle here brings that sense of being on edge, the Fish being overly aware of its surroundings in the water, but also overly aware of the fact that everything is up in the air and there’s no controlling the environment or planning ahead in this state. This makes me think even more that something must have occurred externally first that then made her start to question things internally because even though she is being pushed toward herself and toward personal authority and truth, she still has eyes out for what could come after her for doing so. It’s like she feels out of place both within herself and out in the world as she waits for things to settle more.

In her Fire Alignment, she has the Snake. This is an Earth energy present in the space of Fire, the space of creative expression, action, and passion. This is where the inner world, or the Water Alignment starts to charge up and break through into the external world. With an Earth energy here and a disrupted or shaky Water Alignment, this shows a holding back of the Fire Alignment. It’s not suffocating the flame, but rather it is hiding it, much like how The Dragon is currently hidden from the Fish.

The Snake specifically is described as the protector or guardian of unawakened magic and creative potential, which seems to fit here if you can imagine the Fire Alignment on its own being the place where The Dragon would be hidden. This would confirm that The Dragon is more about being led into very strong personal expression, personal creation, and action through personal authority, all centered around a very clear and very defined sense of identity and self-understanding.

The protection of the Snake almost feels like a system put into place in order to protect The Dragon, the Solar Plexus, and the identity while the “earthquake” occurred that shook up the inner world for the Fish/Gazelle. While everything else was broken up and scattered around, The Dragon, that bit of inner truth, remained intact and surrounded by this stabilizing energy of the Snake. Again, it’s like if the Fish could calm down and trust itself to know its way around its own inner world, even when everything is dark and moved all around, it would be led straight to The Dragon, almost like the Snake itself would be reaching out for it to help guide it in.

Jisoo’s Earth Alignment, which can show the level of groundedness, connection to the external world, and self-perception, is represented by The Black Egg. This is another Spirit Card, which automatically puts it in alignment with the Higher Self influence of The Dragon. The Black Egg itself is associated with the Throat Chakra and much like Aletheia refers to truth and expressing oneself openly and honestly. With The Black Egg seeming to represent the actual physical conduit through which honesty, truth, and identity would be projected to the outside world, it feels like what is inside The Black Egg is The Dragon.

Even more than that, it feels like it could contain many layers. As if the Fish is inside the Black Egg, the Snake is inside the Fish, the Dragon is inside of the Snake, and everything inside the Black Egg has been shaken up and turned around. Jisoo could perceive herself like this right now, just a container for chaos, an absolute whirlwind of change and a feeling of being lost inside herself. All while, from the outside looking in, she looks calm, collected, and well put together as what everyone around her would see is just The Black Egg, sitting there stable and unmoving.

Her Air Alignment, which connects to her conscious level thought processing, conscious focus, and manner of communication, is represented by the Buffalo. This is a really nice Earth energy to have in this alignment, and this may explain why she might still come off so cool and collected to everyone around her. There is a lot of balance being brought in with the Buffalo, an Earth energy that contains influences of Water, described as “grounded yet heavenly, practical yet spiritual.” It’s like she’s very consciously aware of this disruption or disturbance occurring within her, understands where it came from and why it is happening, but she’s not allowing herself to completely lose her senses over it. It’s almost like she’s observing it very consciously while still staying very aware of the changes occurring in her surroundings.

In the image of the Buffalo, there is a storm, a lightning bolt representing that connection between the heavens and the earth, that spark of clarity and understanding that occurs between the two spaces. With this in mind, it’s like she’s watching a storm, watching the external world be shaken up, but in this shake-up, she is seeing things as they really are, which in turn causes a shake-up of her own inner world as her perception of certain situations or people around her start to change. This makes me think of how a child might observe their parents right before a divorce and how it can really shake up their perception of their parents’ marriage up to that point, and with that shake up their entire reality, as well as their understanding of themselves and their place in the family, the home, or the world as a whole.

This could have to do with some interpersonal arguments occurring or another kind of unforeseen or uncontrollable situations popping up where other peoples’ “true colors” were shown and this caused her to question her position or her connection to them. This could also be circumstantial in the sense that it wasn’t necessarily other people, but the environment she’s in or even her own body experiencing some kind of upset that then made her question everything up to that point. Either way, she’s very observant of what is going on around her and how it is lining up with the internal changes that she is experiencing. However, there is still that sense of being lost within herself, confused about how to progress forward while everything is still so dark and murky.

I think to some degree, going back to the energy reading, in the current state you could look at The World and The Hanged Man as being on their side rather than fully reversed, which means The Lovers, which would provide that inner clarity and understanding, the map toward The Magician/The Dragon, is also on its side, and The Magician/Dragon is currently out of sight and out of reach. This then mirrors the Buffalo a bit more in terms of that equal connection to the internal and external experience. While this is a good state to be in most of the time, right now it would be more beneficial for her to detach from those external influences, temporarily, in order to have a personal reset, to get The Lovers fully upright, and The World and The Hanged Man fully reversed.

Overall, Jisoo seems to be in a very interesting state or phase of her personal soul progression, one that is full of potential and could really boost her up. I think over the next year or so, if she finds a better balance for herself, the audience and general public may notice a shift in her personality or how she expresses herself to some degree. This could go into work and creative expression with solo music, something more experimental, or some other kind of creative expression that she shares with the world.

That’s all I have for this one. Thank you so much for reading! :)
